Order Fulfillment
See the case study︎︎︎Background:
Season Health had a mission of “food as medicine.” Patients could order condition-specific meals through the platform.
Problem:
The existing tool to fulfill patient orders was confusing to the point of causing excessive time spent (~50 min) on manually processing each order. Our North-star was to reach “0 Time Spent” a.k.a. 100% automation.
Scope:
Advocating for & exploring improvements. Cleaning up the experience while maintaining many layers of complex functionality. Really considering development within resource constraints.
Reflections:
My favorite part of this process was the amount of times I was told “No, we don’t have [this], we don’t have [that], we can’t because of [x] priority.” I was pushed to develop a genuine point-of-view and I had to learn how to advocate for it. What is my perspective? How do I build my case and stand by it? How can I deliver design that looks good, works well, and effectively considers all collaborators, constraints, and priorities?
